#physphoto118 – VA VA VOOM Valsalva!

I have been involved in a bit of a brainstorm with various Twitterfolk leading to the creation of the first of the Physiology Philes by Michelle Johnston which aim to explain physiological concepts in an approachable and clinically relevant style…

This led to further discussion between myself and Michelle, and inspired by #path140, another of her creations as @Eleytherius, the idea for #physphoto118 was born.

My original intention as @dreapadoirtas on Twitter had been to cram physiology nuggets into Twitter’s 140 character limit as Michelle does with pathology in #path140, but since diagrams seem so vital in physiology I hit a brick wall, and couldn’t make a pure text version happen.  However, I felt that the generous 118 character limit allowed by Twitter when an image is appended should just about give me enough to make it work…

A screen grab of the first one is here, with the link to the sister Physiology Phile appended. Check both out on vimeo and Twitter! Here goes!
